Meet with Cornell Abroad Advisors

The Cornell Abroad Advisors are available to help students learn more about our approved programs, navigate the application process, and provide the necessary support to ensure students are prepared for their semester or year abroad.

Each Cornell Abroad advisor specializes in a specific region of the world.  Who you meet with depends on where you want to go.  If you are considering multiple locations, you may need to speak with more than one advisor to gather all of the information you seek.

Individual Advising appointments are preferred for students who have in-depth questions that require more time, such as comparing programs or gaining deeper knowledge of one particular program.

Walk-in Hours

If you have already met with our office and/or you find yourself with a question about studying abroad that you feel does not require the added time and detail of an individual advising appointment, please use our walk-in hours for guidance.

250 Caldwell Hall (Ag Quad)
Monday through Friday
1:00 – 2:00 PM
Walk-in advising held only while semester classes are in session

Students who need to drop off forms are welcome to do so any time during our open office hours, which are Monday through Friday, 10:30am to 4:00pm.

How to Schedule an Appointment

Appointments must be scheduled via our online appointment request tool using the link below each advisor’s name.
Note:  In the message box of your appointment request, please include the following information so that we may effectively assist you:
  • Your College and your (intended) Major
  • What program characteristics you are seeking: specific subject/discipline available for study, internship, research, or language study
  • When you would like to study abroad (e.g. Spring 2019)
  • Where you would like to study abroad.  This can be a general region (e.g. East Asia), a specific city/country (e.g. Paris/France), or a specific program or university you wish to pursue (e.g. University College London)
  • Reason for appointment:
    • If you are scheduling the appointment because you have a very specific question, depending on the nature of your question an individual appointment may not be the most efficient way to get an answer.  In these cases, the advisor will respond appropriately.
