Student Life

Cornell has partnered with Academic Programs International (API) to provide housing, orientation, on-site director, round-trip airfare from Miami-Havana, visa assistance, activities and excursions.  For a description of what is included, click here.  Please note that API costs do not apply.

Emily Wood of NYU's Tisch School of Arts prepared a 9-minute video called "Into the Caves" about two Cornell students and their research with bats in Spring 2015.

Program Costs

The Cornell in Cuba partnership program charges the same comprehensive tuition and fees as other Cornell-managed programs through Cornell Abroad (not Cornell tuition).  Given all that is included, the total estimated costs are considerably less that the estimated budgets for students paying Out-of-State or Endowed tuition, and somewhat higher than the estimated costs for In-State students.  See Cornell Abroad for an estimated budget.

-Includes tuition, CIPT, housing, some meals, orientation, organized field trips/excursions, and lab fees

Estimated out-of-pocket costs:
